After 142 years of vacancy, the town of New Edinburgh, Vermont has filled the volunteer position of "town crier." The role will be performed weekly by Steve Boudreau, a 47-year-old plumber, who will shout local news from the steps of town hall every Saturday at noon. Boudreau says he will "mostly do it about little league results."
