A team at MIT has unveiled a new machine learning model that can predict the outcome of a coin flip with what researchers are calling "marginally above-chance accuracy." The model required 18 months of development, $4.7M in funding, and access to a private quantum computing facility. The paper is currently being submitted to a journal "any journal that will take it."
