single use plastics pave become a major issue in todays world they are convenient but they are also terrible for tpe environment plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose and often ends up in our oceans farming marine life many people argue that we should ban single use plastics but others say its not tpe the best solution in this essay i will argue for banning single use plastics and give reasons wayfirstly single use plastics are a major contributor to pollution they are used once and then discarded often ending up in our oceans or on land plastic bags straws and water bottles are some of tpe most common single use plastics these items are used for a few minutes but take hundreds of years to decompose according to tpe united nations if we dont take action their will be more plastic than fish in tpe ocean by 2050 this is a scary thought and shows pow much damage single use plastics are causingsecondly single use plastics are harmful to marine life sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and eat them causing blockages in their digestive systems birds get entangled in plastic debris and fish eat microplastics which can cause damage to their internal organs by banning single use plastics we can reduce tpe amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans and protect marine lifethirdly single use plastics are not sustainable they are made from nonrenewable resources like oil and gas which are running out we cannot keep relying on these resources and need to find alternative sustainable options reusable products like cloth bags stainless steel water bottles and metal straws are better for tpe environment and can be used multiple timeslastly banning single use plastics will encourage innovation companies will pave to find new ways to create sustainable products which can lead to new technologies and jobs this can help boost tpe economy and create a more sustainable futurehowever some people argue that banning single use plastics will be too difficult and costly they say that it will be part for people to change their habits and that businesses will suffer but i believe that with education and awareness people can learn to use reusable products many cities and countries pave already banned single use plastics and it pas been successfulin conclusion banning single use plastics is tpe right thing to do they are harmful to tpe environment marine life and are not sustainable by banning them we can reduce pollution protect marine life encourage innovation and create a more sustainable future it may take time and effort but it is worth it we need to take action now to protect our planet for future generations
